Escape Factor debuts new Game Show themed room
Forest Park, IL – Escape Factor, Forest Park’s popular live escape room experience, is thrilled to announce they will be debuting their newest room on December 1st, during the annual Forest Park Holiday Walk. Inspired by a love of kitschy television game shows in the 1970’s, owners Jonathan Biag and Dexter Cura have named the room “Bonus Fun Time Game Show Challenge.”.
“After a year and a half of high anticipation and support from our guests and the community, we can finally deliver another high-end experience they’ve all been patiently waiting for,” state Biag and Cura. After brainstorming multiple ideas and concepts, a flashy game show theme proved to be the most compelling. To bring the concept to life, they hired Yearbook Studios to design the space. Though Yearbook owner Jef Anderson had never designed anything like this, his experience in retail and commercial spaces lent perfectly to the project. Anderson designed a mock game show set inspired by the 1970’s Price is Right and other game shows of the period. Anderson and his team designed graphic elements to capture the 70’s era, and worked closely with fabricators to fine tune the details, right down to the orange shag carpet.
The 60-minute experience is designed for 4-8 “contestants,” who have made it to the Winner's Circle and have just minutes to win the grand prize. The plot thicken, however, in a bizarre turn of events, and a series of puzzles must be solved in order to complete the challenges before the clock runs out.
This will be the third room added to Escape Factor, with additional rooms expected to open throughout 2018. The next room, situated inside an airplane cabin, will feature guests attempting to engage the autopilot after they find themselves stranded on a doomed aircraft.
Escape Factor, located at 7228 Madison Street, is open daily in the evenings, all day on weekends, and will have additional hours during the holiday season. Tickets for each time slot book quickly, so advance reservations are highly encouraged at http://www.escape-factor.com or via phone at 708-943-7227.
